Specific Need

Our operating hours increased the beginning of the year to provide additional hours for our patrons. Unfortunately additional hours = additional expenses. Any money raised will be used for general operating expenses. We are so grateful for our past support!

Mission

The primary purpose of this organization is to provide all the people of the Cochranton area with access to a balanced collection of books and other materials which will serve their educational, cultural and recreational needs.

Profile

The Cochranton Area Public Library has been a part of the community since August 1969. Originally located in two rooms of an old house that had been part of the former High School cafeteria building, we constructed a new library building directly behind where the old structure stood and moved in September 2015.

More than just books, we also offer:

Magazines, DVDs, audiobooks, ebooks and access to online resources all for FREE with your library card
5 computers available for public use
Free Wi-Fi accessible in our parking lot
Mobile internet hotspots for use at home
Copy/fax/print services
Story times and activities for children
Summer reading programs for ALL ages
Community room meeting space

Our hours:

Monday and Wednesday: 1pm-7pm

Tuesday and Thursday: 8am-5pm

Friday: 8am-4pm

Saturday: 9am-4pm
