Auberle Crawford County Independent Living Program

Mission

Auberle helps build strong individuals, families, and communities.

Profile

Providing holistic services to vulnerable individuals in need of a helping hand has been at the heart of Auberle’s mission since 1952. From basic needs like a loving family, safe housing, and life skills development, to more complex challenges like quality mental healthcare and career training/placement – Auberle is a creative problem-solver, collaborative partner, and innovative program provider across Western Pennsylvania. Auberle operates in an effective and efficient manner and has been rated among the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Top Workplaces by its employees for ten years running.

Crawford County Independent Living (IL) serves young people aged 14 until their 23rd birthday. We provide a wide range of services to young people on their path towards becoming self-sufficient: driver license/State ID, employment, education, housing, and much more. We also offer a drop-in center for our members.

Crawford County IL is a safe and all-inclusive hub for eligible young people ages 14-23 who are currently placed outside of their home and/or transitioning out of the system and into adulthood. Along with Crawford County Human Services (CCHS), the program is designed for youth to learn life skills, build confidence, and pave an optimistic path for their own future. Crawford County IL utilizes community partners, staff, and youth’s natural supports to make a lifelong impact on young people. The program is designed to work alongside the young person to help them become more independent, self-sufficient adults.
